Custom call distribution method in call groups

The custom call distribution option in the call group allows you to define a sequence in which the extensions will ring for an incoming call.




Understanding the custom call distribution method window.

 

  1. The priority in which the group will ring.
  2. Drag this icon to change the group to a different priority.
  3. Extensions currently in that priority.
  4. Add new extensions to that priority.
  5. Add new priority with different extensions.
  6. Delete the group in that priority.


Understanding the call sequence.


Following the above example, the call sequence should follow the below;

  1. Jane's extensions will ring for the duration of 15 seconds.
  2. If no-one answers the call, the sequence will proceed to the next priority.
  3. Jane's and Jeff's extensions will ring at the same time for the duration of 15 seconds.
  4. If no-one answers the call, the sequence will proceed to the next priority.
  5. Jeff's extension will ring for the duration of 15 seconds.
  6. If no-one answers the call, the call will proceed according to the next node set in the call flow or hang up if there are no additional nodes in the flow.
