When you make or receive a call in the app, a separate Call Control window will open. Here’s how it works:
Outgoing Call
During an outgoing call, the Call Window will display the status of the call as 'Calling' and during this time you will only be able to 'end' the call.
Incoming Call
When you receive an incoming call, the Call Control window will open and show two options:
- Decline: Click this to reject the call.
- Accept: Click this to answer the call.
These options allow you to quickly manage incoming calls directly from the Call Control window.
Answered Call
When the call is answered, the Call Window will give you multiple options that you may need to use during the call.
Mute Call
During a call, you can control your microphone using the Mute and Unmute buttons:
- Mute: Click the 'Mute' button to silence your microphone. The other party won't be able to hear you, but you can still hear them. They will experience complete silence from your end.
- Unmute: To start speaking again, simply click the 'Unmute' button. This will allow the other party to hear you once more.
Hold Call
You can put a call on hold by using the Hold button:
- Hold: Click the 'Hold' button to pause the call. The other party won't be able to hear you, and instead, they will hear randomly selected music. During this time, you won't be able to hear the other party either.
- Un-Hold: To resume the conversation, click the 'Un-Hold' button, and the call will continue as normal.
Keypad
If you need to enter numbers or symbols during a call, you can use the keypad feature:
- Keypad: Click the 'Keypad' button, and a dropdown keypad will appear. You can then click on the desired numbers or symbols (such as # or *).
- Hide Keypad: Once you're done, click the 'Keypad' button again to hide the keypad.
This feature is useful for tasks like navigating automated menus or entering passcodes during a call.
Transfer
To transfer a call, you need to click on the 'Transfer' button, once you click on 'Transfer', the 'Transfer Call' menu will drop down, the call will also be put on hold automatically.
