Desktop App: Call Transfer

During a call, you can transfer the call to another recipient using one of the following methods:


  • Blind Transfer: Transfers the call immediately to the other recipient without notifying them first.
  • Safe Transfer: Similar to a blind transfer, but if the transfer fails, you can take control of the original call.
  • Ask First: Allows you to speak with the recipient before completing the transfer, ensuring they are ready to take the call.

Blind Transfer:


To initiate a blind transfer, you can.


  • Click on Suggested Contact: Choose one of the suggested contacts if applicable.
  • Search for a Contact: Use the search function to find the contact you want to transfer the call to.
  • Type the Number: Enter the number manually.


Transfer the Call: Once you have selected or entered the desired number, click on the 'Blind' button to start the transfer.



The transfer will be completed.



Safe Transfer


To initiate a safe transfer, you can.


  • Click on Suggested Contact: Choose one of the suggested contacts if applicable.
  • Search for a Contact: Use the search function to find the contact you want to transfer the call to.
  • Type the Number: Enter the number manually.


Transfer the Call: Once you have selected or entered the desired number, click on the 'Safe' button to start the transfer.



While the call is waiting to connect, you will be presented with the calling screen.



If the transfer is successful, you will be presented with the 'Call transfer completed' window.


Otherwise, you will be presented with the 'Call transfer failed' window and you will then be able to resume the call.




Ask First Transfer


To initiate an Ask First transfer, you can.


  • Click on Suggested Contact: Choose one of the suggested contacts if applicable.
  • Search for a Contact: Use the search function to find the contact you want to transfer the call to.
  • Type the Number: Enter the number manually.


Transfer the Call: Once you have selected or entered the desired number, click on the 'Ask First' button to start the transfer.


While the call is waiting to connect, you will be presented with the calling screen.



If the call is connected, you will be able to speak with the recipient, you can then.


  1. Cancel: If you want to return to the original call and cancel the transfer.
  2. Conference: If you want to connect in a 3-way conference call between the original call, the recipient and yourself.
    1. During a conference call, all three parties can hear eachother, anyone can leave the conference call at any time, the conference call is ended once only one party remains in the call.


  3. Transfer: If you want to transfer the original call to the recipient, while you disconnect from the call.
